An AI learning platform by Likhithlabs

The printed page, alive.

Learning OS turns an institution's own books into a living study space. Meet Pip, the AI study buddy that helps students turn questions into understanding — one printed page at a time. Built for learners, designed for institutions.

Your institution's books, alive — with Pip, the AI study buddy that turns questions into understanding, one printed page at a time.

01DiscoverThe problem, and the loop that closes it

Students revise from the book. The book can't see them.

In an Indian school or coaching institute the printed book is the syllabus, the homework and the exam. It is also silent: it cannot tell a student which page to reread, cannot notice the same mistake twice, and cannot tell a teacher what the class understood. Generic AI fills the silence with answers — the one thing a student revising for an exam should not be handed.

  • The page is the unit of study

A student who struggled with question 12 on page 112 needs page 112 again — not a video about “kinematics”. Every explanation, question and recommendation is anchored to the printed page.

  • Answers are not understanding

Pip never hands over the answer first. A hint ladder enforced on the server asks what the student thinks, shows the idea, then checks it — and cites the book it came from.

  • Evidence, not a score

Mastery is an honest estimate with the evidence behind it. Every recommendation says why it was made, so a teacher can act on it and a student can trust it.

02Meet PipThe study buddy, in its own words

Pip doesn't give answers. It gives you the next question.

Choose the student's answers and watch a real tutoring turn: Pip asks what you think, shows the idea, asks the question the book never asks, and sets one short practice.

Pip, the study buddy

  • Asks what you think before it explains. The hint ladder is enforced on the server — not by the model, not by the app.
  • Grounded in your institution's own books, and cites the printed page it drew on.
  • Yours: it grows with what you learn, never with time on screen. No streaks, no guilt, nothing to buy.
  • Can always hand you to a teacher, who sees the conversation.

Why does 45° give the longest range? My book just says it does.
In the product, Pip answers through the grounded tutor and records the evidence. This sample is authored, so it works offline and costs nothing.
03Explore learningPredict, then move the variable

Some things you only understand by moving them.

Three instruments built the way the product's own diagrams are: predict first, then move one variable and watch the mathematics respond. Every number is computed, not drawn.

01020304050607080 m60° lands in the same placeH = 7.3 mR = 50.9 mθ = 30°u

Predict first: which launch angle throws furthest on level ground?

Where
Range R
50.9m
Height H
7.3m
Flight T
2.45s

R equals u squared sine 2θ over g: 24 squared times sine 60 degrees over 9.8, equals 50.9 metres.

Watch the arrows at the ball: sideways speed never changes; upward speed loses g each second.

Why 45°? Only sin 2θ depends on the angle, and it peaks when 2θ = 90°. Two angles that add to 90° — 30° and 60°, say — share a range: one flies low and fast, the other high and slow.

In the product150+ interactive diagrams across physics, chemistry, maths and biology, each bound to the printed page it illustrates.

04A better way to studyThe student's five screens

Five screens. No feed, no streak, no leaderboard.

Today tells you the one thing to do and why. Ask gets you Pip. Practice finds the misconception and repairs it. The revision sheet names printed pages. Progress is an honest estimate with its evidence.

05From course content to learningOne paragraph, five stages

Your books in. Understanding out.

One printed paragraph, followed through the pipeline: loaded with provenance, grouped into concepts, explained under teacher approval, practised, and turned into evidence that names the pages to revise.

4 · Motion in a planep. 112

4.6 Projectile motion. A body thrown with speed u at an angle θ to the horizontal moves under gravity alone. Its horizontal velocity stays u cos θ, while the vertical velocity u sin θ loses g every second — so the path is a parabola, and on level ground it lands at the launch height.

12. A ball is thrown at 20 m s⁻¹ at 30° to the ground. Find its range, maximum height and time of flight.

Loaded from the publisher's files with provenance: this paragraph knows it is page 112 of this edition.

06For institutionsMulti-tenant by construction

One platform. Every institution its own.

Built for Indian schools, junior colleges and coaching institutions that already teach from printed books. One system, many tenants — and every tenant is isolated at the database, not at the screen.

  • Teachers stay in controlAI-written explanations, summaries and solutions are drafts until a teacher or content editor approves them. Students never see a draft.

  • Administration and leadershipPeople, classes, programmes, exams, printed materials, notices and access administration; a read-only pulse for leadership.

What we don't claim. No certifications, no audited security attestations, and no published learning outcomes yet. The platform is in a pilot with KSR Publications' catalogue — six crash-course books and an AP chemistry edition are loaded — and the status of every capability above comes from the repository, not from a slide.
07How it worksFrom the page, back to the page

Six steps, and the last one is the first page again.

  1. Scan the page

A QR on the printed page opens its LiveBook twin at that chapter and page — on any phone.

  2. Read it live

Explanations, interactive diagrams and worked solutions beside the printed text.

  3. Ask Pip

Grounded in the book, guided by a hint ladder, cited to the page, with a teacher a tap away.

  4. Practise and repair

A checkpoint finds the misconception; a repair fixes that one idea and sends you back.

  5. See the evidence

Strengthening, fading, no evidence yet — each with its reasons, never a bare score.

  6. Revise the exact page

A revision sheet names the printed pages to reread — and can go to the press as a printed pack.

08Our visionLikhithlabs

Our vision

A content system with a quiz bolted on cannot answer the only question that matters: what should this student do next, and why? We are building the system that can.

Start where students already are

Millions of Indian students study from printed books they already own. We don't replace the book; we give it a memory, a voice and a map back to itself.

Evidence over engagement

No streaks, no leaderboards, no feeds. Mastery is an estimate with reasons, forgetting is normal, and every recommendation has to explain itself — to the student and to the teacher.

A learning operating system

Schools today; junior colleges and coaching institutes alongside; colleges and universities as the same loop meets denser material. One platform, every institution its own.
